Heirloom Restaurant
Heirloom restaurant is a French—Japanese restaurant in the Melbourne CBD. When opening a new business they were looking for a Point Of Sale & business management system that would give them both a functional and flexibility solution. POSWise was called in by the owners after they had already purchased there touch screen terminals from a local computer company. 



POSWise initially worked with the local computer company as a consultant and it was quickly realized that it would be better for Heirloom if POSWise took over completely and dealt directly with the Restaurant. This was done with the agreement of the local computer company. 

To start with we had three HP AP5000 touch screen terminals and a Tablet PC. These where linked two three remote printers, One in the main kitchen, one is the Sushi Bar and one in the Main Bar. The Tablet PC was used by the management to monitor the graphical table planner and the different eating areas. 
Key to the functionality required by Heirloom was Hotel Accounts. 

The Restaurant has arrangements with the local hotels for the guests to have there meals at the restaurant. These need to be tracked by Hotel name , Room Number and Guest Name. Statements need to be sent to the hotels on a daily basis. POSWise has an Accounts module that works brilliantly to achieve this. 

Split Bills was another function that was needed. Normally splitting of a bill would just be when a table evenly splits the amount owing between the covers at the table. For Heirloom they needed to split bottles of wines and in some cases a course. So one person had 2/3rds of a bottle and another the remaining 3rd. POSWise developed this feature in consultation with the owners of the restaurant. 

Since the restaurants opening we have continued to work with the management to develop specific reports and functionality. This has be made that much easier as POSWise has its own in house software development team and has been able to work with the site to deliver what has been requested.
