NFM Supermarket is Supermarket, Cafe, Deli and Wholesale business located in Nowra NSW. When opening this new business the owners were looking for a Point Of Sale & Business Management system that would give them functionality and flexibility.

POSWise was called in by the owners initially because they had seen Poswise in use at the Nowra Fish Market and had received good reports about the product and the service provided.

The Business began with Four Posiflex touch screen terminals at the front counter linked to Magellan Scanner Scales and customer facing advertising screens. This was then linked into the back office desktop computer running a copy of Poswise and the unique Management Tool. A Posiflex Touch screen terminal was also installed in the Cafe/deli linked to a CAS AP1 label scale.

The supermarket owners then decided that they wanted to offer wholesale to local businesses and a separate laptop was added to the system along with a further weighing scale and Poswise software.

The owners also wanted to implement a wide range of Mix and Match discount structures. This meant that items could be sold at different prices depending on the number being purchased. For example buy 3 packs of biscuits for the price of 2 or at a % discount.

To keep accurate track of the stock they utilized the link from the POSWise software to a hand held PDE. This allowed them to carry out price checks, quickly enter new stock deliveries and do rolling stock checks and stock takes.

The shelf edge label format was also redesigned to the supermarkets specific requirements and we installed an integrated EFTPOS link so the customer experience was as quick as any larger supermarket chain.

POSWise continues to work with NFM Supermarket as they develop there business model.
